This app can be used to teach and study the column addition method. The app is easy to use and it has an intuitive interactive interface with customizable colors and other settings. The user can solve random or custom addition problems with small and large numbers. The number of digits in the numbers can be set.

The column addition method is also known as columnar addition, long addition or longhand addition.

Easy to Use

The numbers are aligned automatically and the user can concentrate on solving the operations for each column. Carrying is handled automatically and it is visualized using a nice animation.

After the user solves the operation for each column the correct answer will fly to the right place. The unit of the answer will fly under the column and the ten is carried over the next column.

If the user presses the wrong button the answer will appear above the keyboard but it will not move.

Over 20 Six-piece Picture Puzzles

The puzzles are pictures of cute animals. Every time the user solves one addition problem, he will see one more piece of a six-piece picture puzzle. To see all 21 complete puzzles he has to solve almost 200 column addition problems (Some pictures may appear twice before all different pictures have been shown).

The picture puzzle feature can be turned off and on at any time.

Teach your kids to spell with SpellBug! SpellBug is an interactive adventure for children learning to spell and read.

The application starts by displaying a picture in the list at random. The objective is to spell the word one letter at a time. The child is presented with 4 letters from which to choose. Selecting the right letter will cause the letter to move into place in the answer blocks. Selecting the wrong letters will cause the letters to disappear until only the correct letter remains. The child repeats the process until the word is spelled completely. The next word in the list then loads automatically.
