Oh Say Can You Say? is the iPhone / iPad version of the well known Dr. Seuss book brought to life by Oceanhouse Media.

For those of you who do not know this book I can only say it’s a (quite big) collection of short “terrible tongue twisters”, where real words get mixed with imaginary Seuss rhymes that will help your children improve their vocabulary and will also bring waves of laughter into your family.

“The words in this book are all phooey.
When you say them, your lips will make slips and back flips and your tongue may end up in Saint Looey.”

You don’t believe me? Let’s start with a easy one, meet Dinn’s Shin:

We continue with the story of a Black duck and a Blue duck so try to read this loud and fast.

If you do that really good, we move on to a more difficult one (which happens to be my favorite): the perfect Christmas gift for bird watchers.

I do not have space to add more screenshots but I hope you can imagine how the other tongue twisters are.

If you buy this book you will meet Gretchen von Schwinn (from Berlin with a weird mandolin), Fritz and Fred, Pete and his big pink pigs, the west beast and the east beast (each sitting on a beach), Skipper Zip, the Fuddnuddler Brother and, oh, so many more…

If you’re not sure you can do this you can first listen to the story, practice a bit and then read it out loud to your kids. Or simply do your best and have fun twisting your tongue
